Wool Information: 

All of our yarns are made with 100% Nash Island Wool.  During shearing each fleece is sorted into grades right as it comes off the sheep.  We carefully select wool to make our Nash Island Light yarn and are working on a NEW Nash Island Tide sock yarn. The lamb fleeces are used exclusively for our Nash Island Fog laceweight yarn.  

Colorway Information:

We're always inspired by the colors found in the rugged nature of Nash Island and Downeast Maine.  We change our colors every year or so to bring you new shades to play with.

The 2009 Collection, Rocky Coast includes the colors Lobster Bake, Mussel Shell, Seaweed, Clear Skies and Seagull.  Limited quantities of these colors are available in our Nash Island Light yarn. 

For 2010, we have two collections - Deep Woods and Shoreline.  Currently we have these colors in our Nash Island Light, but will be offering them in our Fog laceweight yarn and Tide sock yarn soon.

 Deep Woods includes Hunter, Spruce, Larch, Raven and Pinecone.

Shoreline includes Sea Glass, Urchin, Rosehip, Whelk and Cove.
